A Better Solution
BROADBAND EQUALITY CAMPAIGN

As champions for connectivity and universal access, Xtendwave founded the Broadband Equality Campaign, a forum for members of the telecommunications industry to advocate for true universal access and broadband equality in the U.S. by 2011.

The Broadband Equality Campaign has four significant pillars:

  1. Get the Word Out – Educate and inform state telecommunications associations and their members about technology that enables broadband ubiquity and help them deploy this technology.
  2. Broadband Access Belongs in Universal Access – Lobby for the inclusion of ‘broadband access’ in the definition of Universal Access.
  3. Tap the Rural Telecommunications Fund – Lobby to increase the flow of funds to projects that deliver affordable broadband access to rural communities.
  4. Partner with Equipment Manufacturers – Xtendwave is connecting with telecommunications equipment suppliers, and they are testing Xtendwave’s components in their systems.
